I believe many of you want to know how to add music to iMovie without iTunes. By utilizing iCareFone (developed by Tenorshare), you can import music directly from PC to your iPhone or iPad. It’s a great tool to manage music, videos, apps, etc. without iTunes restriction, and add DRM protected music to iMovie project on iPhone (or iPad).
1. Once you’ve installed and launched iCareFone on your PC, choose “File Manage” from the top bar on the main interface. Then select “Music” from the many file types displayed.
2. In the next screen, select “Import” from the menu bar. You can then import music files on your computer to iPhone or iPad.
3. From iMovie app, tap “+” to open the iMovie project that you want to add music or audio to. You can also select a theme for your movie.
4. Select the video on the timeline, go to the “Audio” tap at the bottom, and move the slider to the leftmost side to mute the original audio. Now, you can tap on the media icon to add your own music to the video.
5. In the Import Media screen, switch to the “Audio” tap. The music you imported in step 2 should be here. Select one of the audio files in Theme Music, Sound Effects, or your iTunes library.
If you’re satisfied with your movie, you can export to your camera roll, and then it will be available to be uploaded to YouTube, or sent to friends and family via SMS or e-mail.
